‘Duck Dynasty’ family receives some very bad news after Phil Robertson’s passing

Miss Kay Robertson, the beloved matriarch of the Duck Dynasty family, is enduring one of the hardest chapters of her life. She’s quietly facing health challenges while grieving the loss of her husband, Phil Robertson, who passed away on May 25 at age 79 from Alzheimer’s disease. They were married for 60 years.

Her son Willie Robertson revealed in a recent interview that his mother is struggling. “She lost her 60-year partner,” he said. “We’re doing everything we can to support her.” Kay was notably absent from the June 1 premiere of Duck Dynasty: The Revival, not just due to physical health but also depression.

Concerns about her health began in April when son Jase Robertson shared on the Unashamed podcast that she had suffered a fall and an infection requiring hospitalization. “We were sort of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” he said.

Kay now lives in a care facility lovingly nicknamed “Kay’s Kingdom,” where she receives 24/7 support from professionals, family, and friends. “My mom is not doing well physically,” Jase admitted. “But we’re trying our best to lift her spirits.”

Before his passing, Phil found comfort in Kay’s presence. The couple’s faith and bond remained a pillar of strength for the entire family.

Though Kay’s on-screen presence is reduced in the reboot, her influence and legacy are deeply felt. As Willie put it in tribute to his dad, “He was the Real Deal.”

Through faith, family, and fierce love, Miss Kay continues to inspire.
