Thanksgiving Jokes That’ll Have You Stuffed with Laughter

Ah, Thanksgiving — the special day we come together to express our gratitude, savor a bounty of food, and, if fortune smiles upon us, skillfully dodge those tricky family chats. It’s also a perfect occasion to sprinkle some humor over the festivities, especially when it involves family quirks, culinary mishaps, and the delightful pandemonium that holiday gatherings often bring.

We’ve gathered some Thanksgiving chuckles to ensure your laughter lasts from the turkey to the pumpkin pie. So grab a turkey leg or a slice of that delicious pie, sit back, and get ready to enjoy some hearty laughs.

Turkey Talkin’ Kindergarten Realizations

Imagine this scenario: I’m picking up my kindergartener after a day at school, and she’s brimming with excitement to share her big revelation of the day.

“Mommy!” she exclaims as she hops into the car. “Today we learned that boys are different from girls.”

My hands gripped the steering wheel a little tighter, uncertain what direction this conversation might take.

“My teacher said boys have a ‘thing’ that girls don’t,” she continued.

I took a deep breath, bracing myself for more details. Then, Mila added a further clarification.

“Girls recognize boys because of something that hangs down. And boys puff up when they see a girl they like!”

My palms were starting to sweat, and my mind was racing to find the right words. But Mila still had more to add.

“Girls enjoy watching that ‘thing’ move while boys walk. Then they marry and cook together.”

We managed to reach home, with me still pondering potential follow-up questions from my curious child.

Once home, Mila energetically removed her shoes and revealed her art project: a crayon masterpiece of a turkey, its tail feathers spread wide, with a prominent snood.

She shot me a stern look when I erupted in laughter at her depiction of the “boy.”

Even today, Thanksgiving turkeys make me do a double take.

The Prayerful Player

Picture this: a 17-year-old lad heads to the drugstore just before Thanksgiving.

“I’ve been invited to my girlfriend’s for dinner, and maybe…” he hinted with a wink toward the pharmacist. The pharmacist slid a box of condoms across the counter.

“Good thinking,” the boy remarked, reaching for a second box with a playful grin. “Her mom is quite charming as well.”

Fast-forward to Thanksgiving.

At the dinner table, the girlfriend’s mom asks him to lead the grace. The boy, palms clammy with nerves, launches into the longest prayer of his life. His girlfriend leans in and whispers.

“I had no idea you were so religious!” she says.

He glances back, his face flush with fear.

“I had no idea your dad was the pharmacist!” he replies.
