We didn’t get to see many photos of Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet until recently, and it seems there may actually be a reason for that change.
For years, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kept their children out of the limelight, refusing to show them off in front of the camera or in public. And this lined up with their security fears over the years.
However, when Meghan reactivated her Instagram account, suddenly she was posting photos of both Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Fans were stunned at the shock u-turn. But now, it seems there may be a motive behind it.

Why are we getting Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet photos?
According to the Daily Mail, an insider revealed Harry is suddenly okay with the change as a “desperate” attempt to get attention from his family.
Back in 2020, Meghan and Harry made the decision to step away from their royal duties, and the rift between the family grew.
Over the years, things have gotten worse – not better – and Harry has publicly spoken about his strained relationship with the other royals. And even recently explained his father, King Charles, doesn’t speak to him.
The source said: “Harry is completely heartbroken. His dad refuses to see him or the kids – not even on Zoom. It’s a last resort. He is desperately hoping the king might see a picture of Archie and Lilibet and realise what he is missing.”
The insider revealed that Harry has made several attempts to reach out to his father, but each time nothing changed.
They continued: “He has tried everything – calls, letters.. But nothing has worked. This is his way of saying, Look what you are missing’.”
In recent months, Archie and Lilibet have had a much bigger presence on Meghan’s social media account. She has been posting snaps from family days, and gardening with Lilibet.
However, while there may be more photos of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Meghan does still keep their privacy by not showing their faces. By posting the pics of their children, Meghan – and Harry – have faced even more public criticism, with some people slamming their parenting decisions.
But the one post in particular that has caused a stir is Meghan’s Baby Mama twerking video, taken from the hospital when she was in labour with Lilibet.

What did Meghan say about twerking video?
To celebrate Lilibet’s fourth birthday, Meghan shared a video of her and Harry dancing in the delivery room.
But since then, there has been immense backlash on her, with some trolls even creating wild rumours.
Meghan spoke to Emma Grede on the Aspire podcast, and revealed her own thoughts on her video.
She said: “You have to be authentic. Did you see my Baby Mama dance? That wasn’t yesterday. That was four years ago.
“It’s a great reminder that with all the noise or whatever, there’s still a whole life, a real, authentic, fun life, that’s happening behind the scenes. I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.”
