Michael Madsen<\/strong>\u00a0died on Thursday, July 3. He was 67.<\/p>\n

Madsen\u2019s manager\u00a0Ron Smith<\/strong>\u00a0confirmed his death<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>, saying his client died from cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

The actor was found unresponsive at his home in Malibu, California, on Thursday after deputies responded to a 911 call that morning, the Los Angeles Sheriff\u2019s Department confirmed to\u00a0Us<\/em>. Madsen was pronounced dead at the residence at 8:25 a.m. PT.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe death is believed to have been from natural causes and no foul play is suspected,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s department added.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films\u00a0Resurrection Road<\/em>,\u00a0Concessions<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Cookbook for Southern Housewives<\/em>, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life,\u201d Madsen\u2019s managers Smith and\u00a0Susan Ferris<\/strong>\u00a0and publicist\u00a0Liz Rodriguez<\/strong>\u00a0told\u00a0Us<\/em>\u00a0in a statement on Thursday. \u201cMichael was also preparing to release a new book called\u00a0Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts<\/em>\u00a0and Poems<\/em>, currently being edited.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement concluded: \u201cMichael Madsen was one of Hollywood\u2019s most iconic actors, who will be missed by many.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madsen was born in Chicago and launched his career in Hollywood in 1982. One of his most iconic roles include playing criminal Mr. Blonde in\u00a0Quentin Tarantino<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s 1992 hit\u00a0Reservoir Dogs<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Madsen and Tarantino, 62, frequently collaborated during the actor\u2019s four decades in the industry. They worked on\u00a0Kill Bill: Vol. 1<\/em>,\u00a0The Hateful Eight\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Once Upon a Time \u2026 in Hollywood<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The late actor also appeared on\u00a0Our Family Honor<\/em>,\u00a0Vengeance Unlimited<\/em>,\u00a0Big Apple<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Powers<\/em>\u00a0and starred in\u00a0WarGames<\/em>,\u00a0Thelma & Louise<\/em>,\u00a0Wyatt Earp<\/em>\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

Madsen is survived by sons Calvin and Luke, whom he shares with estranged wife\u00a0DeAnna Madsen<\/strong>\u00a0and sons Christian and Max, whom he welcomed with ex-wife\u00a0Jeannine Bisignano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Michael and Bisignano were married from 1991 to 1995. He married DeAnna in 1996 and\u00a0filed for divorce in September 2024<\/a>. Michael and DeAnna also shared son Hudson,\u00a0who died by suicide<\/a>\u00a0in January 2022 at the age of 26.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
