Rochelle and Marvin Humes are one of the UK\u2019s beloved showbiz couples \u2013 but their love story hasn\u2019t always been a walk in the park.<\/p>\n

The iconic TV couple \u2013 who host\u00a0The Hit List<\/a>\u00a0together \u2013 first got together back in 2010 and tied the knot in 2012.\u00a0 Since then the JLS singer and Saturdays star have welcomed three beautiful children together \u2013 Alaia-Mai, Valentina and Blake.<\/p>\n

But when did they first split up? And what exactly happened when Rochelle suffered a \u2018sex mishap\u2019? Keep reading to find out\u2026<\/p>\n

Marvin and Rochelle Humes\u2019 shock split<\/h3>\n

Marvin \u2013 on ITV\u2019s DNA Journey tonight (June 26) \u2013 and\u00a0Rochelle<\/a>\u00a0first struck up a romance in 2010.\u00a0 However, a year into dating and\u00a0Marvin called it quits<\/a>\u00a0with Ninja Warrior host Rochelle.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Tolly T on Bumble\u2019s podcast My Love Is\u2026, Marvin revealed he originally ended things after he got cold feet.<\/p>\n

He confessed: \u201cWe had a little split about a year in. It was my doing. You know what the weirdest thing is I got cold feet for some reason and just panicked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI called it off with Roch and when I did that, I knew that second it was the biggest mistake I\u2019ve made,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

When asked why, he said: \u201cI was in a relationship previously, but what I learned in that relationship was it went on too long and I didn\u2019t have the balls to call it off and I was quite young.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marvin noted how this had the \u201creverse effect\u201d when it came to Rochelle. He explained: \u201cWhen I was with Roch, I just panicked and was like, I wanna call it off. When I did it I knew I was making a mistake. Broke Rochelle\u2019s heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rochelle Humes admits \u2018lack of intimacy\u2019<\/h3>\n

In 2013, Rochelle and\u00a0Marvin<\/a>\u00a0welcomed their first daughter, Alaia-Mai. However, it wasn\u2019t all easy as Rochelle previously confessed it played havoc with her emotions and sex life too.<\/p>\n

She told Cosmopolitan in 2014: \u201cI\u2019m not too proud to admit that having a child affects the intimacy in a relationship at first.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate it when you hear people say they were at it again days later. I don\u2019t believe it!\u201d Rochelle continued: \u201cFor the first few months, you\u2019re so tired you just want to go to bed, I was so emotional.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne day, Marvin asked me what I wanted for breakfast and even that set me off. I just wailed \u2018cereal\u2019 across the house. We still joke about it now!\u201d<\/p>\n

Truth about Marvin and Rochelle\u2019s sex mishap<\/h3>\n

Back in 2013, Rochelle got plenty of people talking when she admitted that she was forced to dash to A&E after sustaining an eye injury during \u2018cuddles\u2019 with Marv.<\/p>\n

The singer let the revelation slip during a game of Never Have I Ever on Capital\u2019s breakfast show a few years back, appearing with her The Saturday\u2019s bandmates.<\/p>\n

When the presenters of the time raised the topic \u201cNever have I ever sustained an injury during special cuddles\u201d, Rochelle replied: \u201cI have!\u201d While the blushing singer didn\u2019t elaborate any further on the story, her bandmates were fast to fill in a few gaps.<\/p>\n

\u201cRochelle went to A&E over this,\u201d Una Healy piped up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember her calling me about this and I was like: \u2018How do I know what to do?’\u201d Mollie King added.<\/p>\n

However, when the presenters at the time, Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon, tried to get Rochelle to spill the tea, the singer went very quiet. Keen to know more, Dave tried to put words into Rochelle\u2019s mouth.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re telling me our friend, DJ Marvin Humes, has injured my second favourite member of the Saturdays? Was it a household object?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

A little rattled, Rochelle replied: \u201cCertainly not.\u201d But that stern reply didn\u2019t put the nosy presenters off trying to dig deeper. \u201cWas it something you bought in an adult shop?\u201d Lisa Snowdon probed. \u201cDid you pull a muscle or is it much worse?\u201d<\/p>\n

Eventually, Rochelle finally revealed that she had injured her eye during her romantic tussle.<\/p>\n

Marv sets record straight<\/h3>\n

However, it wasn\u2019t just Rochelle who was left blushing. So too was Marv \u2013 who seemed rather taken aback about the revelation.<\/p>\n

In an interview that followed, he played down the whole affair, admitting the \u2018sex\u2019 mishap was not true\u2026 \u201cIt\u2019s 150% not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking at the time<\/a>, he said: \u201cIt just came out of nowhere. It was all a bit of friendly banter between the girls. They made something up and then it all just escalated and got out of hand. As I said, it\u2019s not true at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that he had been left cringing by the exchange on the breakfast show and laughed it off, admitting: \u201cIt\u2019s just one of those things. But you have to be careful what you say because people will believe everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rochelle\u2019s strict rule<\/h3>\n

Talking to\u00a0Closer<\/a>\u00a0in October, Rochelle opened up about how she and Marvin try to maintain a healthy work\/life balance. \u201cWe try to set boundaries, and we make sure that we don\u2019t talk shop at home once we\u2019re all done for the day,\u201d Rochelle said.<\/p>\n

She went on: \u201cWe\u2019ll let that roll into tomorrow. I think it\u2019s important to protect it. If it all rolls into one, then we\u2019ll be up working on something all the time. At least by five o\u2019clock, by the time kids are having dinner, we\u2019ll make sure that work questions are done.\u201d<\/p>\n
